Empowering Diverse, Innovative, Cross-Sector, Multi-Background Collaborations
Especially…
Linking and supporting parties to build partnerships and collaborative alliances to address issues in conservation and animal welfare of critical need and those that currently pass ‘under the radar’
Linking in parties that offer contributions that are novel or less-common within these arenas
Upholding a One Health approach integrating the needs of people, animals and nature for a sustainable future
ECP offers specific expertise in the human dimensions of collaborative endeavour, to help build diverse, innovative, cross-sector, multi-background partnerships for conservation and animal welfare – and beyond. ECP then extends its support to help fuel collective action via a number of key pathways and professional services.
ECP recognises the diverse array of parties that work towards conservation and animal welfare goals and the widely-varied contributions they bring. Collaborative endeavours and outputs are strengthened by diversification – by introducing novel parties contributing innovative effort from arenas not commonly-associated with conservation and animal welfare, and parties traditionally-recognised within these arenas that are diversifying to offer innovative inputs also.
ECP offers numerous and varied pathways to convene parties to build innovative, inclusive alliances. ECP also has a global network of contacts and works with parties from wide-ranging arenas, including NGOs in many spheres, governmental organisations, academia, community groups, businesses, industry and corporate organisations.
ECP helps build innovative, dynamic, cross-sector collaborative partnerships – which can evolve to address the ever-changing challenges of conservation and animal welfare. ECP works with parties from all backgrounds and sectors that have interest in conservation and/or animal welfare, helping to embrace all those working to common or overlapping goals, widening alliances – thereby increasing collective outcomes and impact.
ECP’s wide-ranging outreach and advocacy for conservation and animal welfare is respectful, diplomatic, empathic and truly two-way, taking time to learn the context of each involved party, in order to find apt ways of advocating for animals and engaging people. This empowers particular success in difficult circumstances where challenging societal situations are negatively impacting conservation and animal welfare. ECP’s specific expertise in the human dimensions of collaboration highlights pathways that influence attitudes and change behaviours.
ECP works to convene parties and engage all who are willing, regardless of background, in empowering collaborative endeavour to aid threatened species and animal welfare – aiding each other and beyond.
We are committed to the development and implementation of holistic, inclusive, innovative efforts. Our collaborative cross-sector approach upholds our belief in a One Health concept which recognises the well-being of people, animals and ecosystems as interconnected. We believe that respect for animals and nature goes hand in hand with respect for one another – and underpins the intrinsically-linked health and well-being of people, wildlife and our planet.
Acute issues in conservation and animal welfare require innovative solutions, time on time. This requires unprecedented collaboration – novel in its array of parties. We believe this is not the preserve of trained conservationists or animal welfare professionals: Anyone can help – all help is welcomed – there is not one skill or contribution that conservation and animal welfare cannot benefit from. If we strive for the conservation and animal welfare arenas to be rich patchworks of all help that can be sought and willingly given, we have better hope of our endeavours both stopping biodiversity loss and animal distress and generating sustainable, wider benefits for our world.
Conservation and animal welfare require courage – particularly of all who decision-make and hold responsibility, at any level. We believe this does not, however, require cold, steely, single-minded determination, but an altogether more valiant strength and bravery; to tackle the problems we are causing our wildlife and all animals, not at all costs, but in a holistic and caring way, whilst looking after and empowering our fellow humans – however our paths may cross. Positive interpersonal interactions are powerful, creating energy that empowers outcomes for animals – and that can radiate far beyond.
